Copywriting is at the core of what I offer. The purpose of copy is to sell your products and (or) services, usually through the means of advertisement. Well written copy should inform readers of the benefits of your offering, entice them to find out more and move them along the sales process chain. Great copy sells, so hiring a qualified, talented writer who will understand your business and client base is an investment.

Blogs are a great way to connect with your customers on a more personal level and keep them abreast of what is happening in your industry. It’s a chance to provide a deeper insight into your brand and drop the harder sell in favour of a more personable approach. But blogs are a saturated corner of the internet so they need to offer value. I love the creativity and openness that comes with writing in this way. Not sure where to start when it comes to blogging? I can help.

Newsletters. Your email inbox is more than likely full of them. Email marketing can be noisy and messy. Just visualise your inbox – do you have scores of unopened promotional emails that you will likely never get round to clicking on, let alone reading? It’s never been more important to have a strong, lean email marketing strategy. I can help design this, along with creating captivating content for your newsletters. To see the stats for my improved open and click rates for my clients, just ask.

If you aren’t sure of the difference between copy and content, think of it like this: as mentioned, copy sells, content tells. Copy is there to assist in the sales process. Content is its softer, friendlier pal. It is a fantastic way to engage with your customers and through its writing is an opportunity to create super fans/ambassadors/brand champions (select word of choice). It can start the love story between your customer and your brand. And as your content writer I am, if you will, Cupid shooting the arrow (or writing the words, shall we say).

Writing a book can be an incredibly exciting but equally daunting prospect. If you have an idea but have no idea where to start, I can help. I have experience in ghostwriting non-fiction and it is part of my role as a writer that I absolutely love. A ghostwriter’s job is to write literary or journalistic pieces that are credited to someone else. I thrive on bringing my clients’ visions to life for their written works, so if you have a seed of an idea that needs nurturing to help it grow and shine, I’d love to help you.

As a writer I naturally edit my own work as I go along. Over the years I have become adept at the art of editing. A very crucial part of editing is understanding the true goal of what your writing is trying to achieve. Only then can you keep the piece, be it an article, newsletter or book for example, on track and edit effectively. I have garnered several years’ experience editing non-fiction pieces for clients, as well as my own fiction works.
